Eagles Full House Begins Training for Tartan Army

Eagles leaving their hotel for training monday,Teammates celebrate Yobo, Odemwingie’s return to fold.Ahead of tomorrow’s international friendly with the Tartan Army of Scotland, the Super Eagles last night began the first phase of their World Cup preparation at Fulham FC training ground with almost all the 30 players in the Brazil 2014 provisional list.
Apart from Brescia of Italy midfielder, Nnamdi Oduamadi and France-based star, Sunday Mba, who were held back for logistic reasons, it was full house at Eagles’ Cobham Hotel Base in London.
Team Scribe, Dayo Enebi Achor, explained that the duo of Oduamadi and Mba had hitches with their travelling documents and were scheduled to make it to the team’s camp late last night, a development Head Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, was reported not happy with.
However, the technical crew was excited with the entire squad response to arrival in camp and the camaraderie that exists among all the players.
“It’s one big family here and this is the spirit we should carry to the World Cup,” declared Lille of France goalie, Vincent Enyeama. There are also no injury worries with the team as all the players have been visiting the gym to maintain fitness before starting training in the evening.
The players were also very happy with the recall of team captain, Joseph Tambarin Yobo and Osaze Odemwingie. Yobo, declared during breakfast yesterday that he was overwhelmed by the shower of love by his team mates. “I am humbled and I pray that I will justify the confidence reposed in me”, he said.
Odemwingie spoke in a similar vein, adding that it was a family reunion that is bound to affect the fortunes of the team at the World Cup. “We will do our best in Brazil to justify this unity that we have in camp”.
